CONGRATULATIONS!

Hi there!

I am really excited. For you. And for me.

Leading the BFSA is a privilege and a responsibility; one that I take seriously and that I enjoy a great deal.

When I created the program it was with one primary question in mind: “If I
could go back in time and give myself one piece of professional advice, what
would that advice be?”

To learn presentation skills. Even back then I could see the power of the
Stage Effect but I had no idea how to use it. Knowing what I know now — that
public speaking is one of the most effective forms of attraction and influence
— I would encourage the younger me to start the journey sooner. To overcome my fears and to learn the skills of effective presentations.

    OTHER AWARENESS’ WHEN BOOKING:

    • There are other hotels, airbnb’s and accomodations near our venue but keep in mind the travel time. We start most mornings at 9am and work late into the evenings. From working these events for the last few years, I highly recommend staying at the venue.
    • Another option if you require a room mate is to reach out to others in the Facebook group. Many times there are others who would be interested in splitting a room

EVENT SCHEDULE

The event is five full days. Plan to arrive on Saturday, June 22nd and to leave on Friday, June 28th, 2019
as our event days are packed full and you don’t want to miss a second of it. Also during this event there
will not be time in the evening for anything else so make sure you plan accordingly.

There will be stretch, snack and meal breaks throughout the day. A large part of this event is focused
on the speaking strategy drills and team practice time, most of which happens after the event ends and
into the late evening, so please make the proper arrangements. (In some events participants have
chosen to stay and practice together until midnight).

WHAT TO BRING

Yes, there are a few things that you may want to bring. A journal and something to write with. Snacks and bottled water. Business cards. Remember to also have 3 stories in mind that you would like to share and use as the material for your talks and exercises.

HOW TO DRESS

Business casual for Day One to Day Four and then on Day Five the event will be filmed professionally so plan on dressing professionally and sharp.

ANYTHING ELSE A PARTICIPANT SHOULD KNOW?

You are coming to this event to learn and to develop new skills. And, we hope, to have fun. It is worth pending some time before you come to really think about how improving your professional and public speaking skills will impact your life, relationships, and business. The stronger your ‘why’ the more you will learn.
